My question was not how to add Planner to a channel in MS Teams, it was how to connect the Planner tasks I have in my channel to the Roadmap I created in my channel.

    Hi Dz2009,

    Glad to help you here.

Currently, private channels support connectors and tabs (except Stream, Planner, and Forms). We're working on full apps support for private channels, including messaging extensions and bots.

Each team can have a maximum of 30 private channels and each private channel can have a maximum of 250 members. The 30 private channel limit is in addition to the 200 standard channel limit per team.

When you create a team from an existing team, any private channels in the existing team won't be copied over.

Notifications from private channels are not included in missed activity emails at this time.

Channel meetings can't be scheduled, please refer to: Private channels in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs.

Hope that this answers your concern.

    Regards,

    Rebecca

    Hi Dz2009,

    Glad to help you here.

In view of the issue, you may do the following steps:

    • In the command channel, click the “Add command” button (plus sign).
    • In the “Add Tab” dialog box, click “Planner.”
    • In the “Planner” dialog box, select “Create Plan.” This option allows you to create a Planner Plan and add it to this feed as a tab.
    • The “Use existing plan” option lets you add an existing Planner plan to this channel. Select whether you want to post information about this tab in the feed, and then click “Save.”
    • The tab will be added to other tabs in the feed. Then you can start adding tasks to the board.
    • Repeat this process to add the number of plans you want to the channel.
    • You can also add the same plan to multiple tabs. This does not create a copy of the plan.

There are two ways to get started with a plan added to Teams:

Channel Planner tab. Here you can perform basic Planner activities, such as adding blocks, tasks, assignments, and more. To take advantage of the Planner’s advanced features, such as Charts and Schedule, open the plan in the online version of this program. Below are comparisons of actions you can take with a plan in Teams and the Planner online version.

Personal Planner Program. In Teams, in the left column, click Advanced Options and select Planner.

Also, please refer to: Use Planner in Microsoft Teams, Use the Project or Roadmap app in Teams (microsoft.com).

Hope that this answers your concern. If you have any questions about this issue or I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to reply and I will answer for you.

Your understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciate.

    Regards,

    Rebecca
