Sharing computer audio with Teams - Mac OS Big Sur

I need to be able to share videos with my computer audio on Teams. When I click on "Include computer sound", it pops up with "Install driver to share sound - This will only take a few seconds, and you'll just have to do it once". I click on Install, and it tells me: "Couldn't install driver. Make sure you're using macOS version 10.13 or higher, and give it another try." I am using the latest Mac OS: Big Sur - 11.4 so I can't update my laptop any further. I checked my Teams app, and I also have the latest version of Teams.

Currently I have to join a meeting on both my laptop and my iPhone (which can share sound), and share videos from my phone while actually facilitating a meeting via my laptop. It takes a lot of juggling and stopping and re-starting the screen share.

I'm have a MacBook Air with an M1 chip, so I don't know if that's the issue? I tried to find the driver separately online and can't find it. Is there another work around to this? Or can someone give me a link to the correct driver to install?

Guys, please install the following audio driver, you don't have to use a workaround I mentioned above.

Hi, I have similar problem and what I did is as follows:-

    1. Download MS Teams app from here, https://www.microsoft.com/en-my/microsoft-teams/download-app
    2. Remove the existing MS Teams app from my Macboo
    3. Restart my Macbook
    4. Install the downloaded version MS Teams

After that, I am able to enable the 'Include computer sound' options without any error.

    Hope it helps.

I don't see "Network Device Interface (NDI)" under setting in the MS Teams.

Which "setting" are you referring to?

    Thanks!

I had the same issue. After playing around in settings I have since fixed the issue. In settings you need to click on App permissions.

Scroll down to the bottom and click to allow Network Device Interface (NDI).

This allowed my MacBook to install the driver to allow me to share audio while sharing screen and playing videos during a class.

Hope this helps!!! I can attach a screen shot if needed to clarify...
