Hi There!

Does anyone know how I can recover a recording that has expired on Teams? I unfortunately forgot to save it to one drive as I am new to Outlook and still learning how things work. Thank you!

Hi Noura, I'm Sergio, it's a pleasure to help you.

I afraid that you can't recover that meeting recording.

When a recording expire, it be automatically deleted after a set period of time.

The amount of time it's available is set by your admin.

Teams meeting recordings will be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, depending on the type of meeting.

For channel meetings, the recording will be stored in a Recordings folder in the Files tab for the channel. The Files tab stores all files in a SharePoint site and document library for the channel. Everyone who is a part of the channel will have permission to edit and view the recording.

For non-channel meetings, the recording will be stored in the Recordings folder in the OneDrive directory of the person who started the recording.

If the user still has turned on sharing, then the recording is/can be available to others in the team. From Teams it can be found by going to More -> Team Site. In there, if you scroll down you should see an option called "Recordings - Old." Click the ellipsis (three dots) to open up a menu and select "Share this recording".
