Planner is now showing completed tasks in Chart View

Hello,

I have been using Planner's chart view in Microsoft Teams to see how many tasks are left in each bucket. I have also connected the chart on SharePoint to share that chart with my team. However recently a change was made that now includes all completed tasks in the chart. This has rendered the chart useless. Is there a way to hide completed tasks in chart view? This feature was a big deal to help me move our work to Planner.

On Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.22976, "Progress" is not an option in the Filter.

    Hello,

Try the following: go to Charts, then go to Filter/Progress and select Not started and In progress. The completed tasks should now not be shown in the charts anymore.

Does anyone at Microsoft work with Planner?

If so, this issue would have been solved already.

    Hey,

Thanks for the quick response. Ill submit the feedback as suggested however this isn't a feature I'm looking to add. I had previously never seen completed tasks in any of my planner charts until very recently. Since Planner is a board based task tool why on earth would they want the completed tasks so appear this way? That was nice to see in the status pie chart but not the bar graph.

    Thanks Again

Hi Matthew, hope you're doing well. I’m Ian, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue.

As far as I know Completed status is part if the chart since it is one of the default status for Planner (Not Started, In progress, Late, and Completed)

Unfortunately there's no option to exclude a specific status.

I would suggest to submit feedback to the development team in the link below so that they can add this in the future releases.

I hope this helps, but please let me know if you need anything else.
