Teams | Search Wiki in Teams

We have a Teams Channel set up and cannot seem to search our Wiki. This seems as though it should be a feature that Teams has available to its users.

We are trying to create a Quick help section on our Teams page for a Live Support team. I'm certain others have done something similar, but we need to have a quickly searchable database of information that is super easy to access.

Any recommendations? If Teams does not allow Wiki to be searched in the "search," is this something planned to be added? I'm shocked this is not an inherent solution already.

    Hey SEA_ASI,

It looks as if this is on the backlog - it's one of the top requested features on UserVoice the feedback portal.

    HI Joe-

Thank you for the feedback. I hope it gets pulled up the chain for enhancements. Wiki is a nice to have but without a search in Teams, like most other functions in Teams, it is really hard to use. We ended up using One Note, but I was sad as the team liked having those Wiki items right there- but we were getting so many sections, we needed a search. Thank you!

    Dear SEA_ASI,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, seem that you want to use Wikipedia in Teams as a search engine. We apologize that this is out of our support scope because it does not have such a function in Teams by default. However, we have a dedicated team that has abundant experience with Teams applications, we kindly suggest you post this question in Microsoft Q&A. And experts there might available to provide you with further suggestions to allow Wiki to search in Teams.

    Sincerely,

    Tommy | Microsoft Community Moderator
