Customized Status Message Not Working in Microsoft Teams

Hello,

I use Teams in my work computer and I've been trying to set a custom message in my Microsoft Teams with the duration also set to Custom. In the desktop App, once I set the parameters and click DONE, nothing happens.

However, setting the custom status with custom duration does work if I do it in the web version.

It is worth noting that in the desktop app, if I create my custom message and select any of the pre-defined durations (Today, 1h, 4h), it works. It seems to be an issue when creating a custom duration only.

I have tried:

  • Clearing the cache and re-launching Teams.
  • Using the "Reset status" button.
  • Rebooting the computer.
  • Rebooting Teams.

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it? Below is what I am trying to set.

Try signing-out and resigning-in and recheck.

Check if Teams desktop application is up to date.
