Can't upload files in Teams

I can't upload files in Microsoft Teams. When I try to upload, it says "Something went wrong while sharing, let's try again.". Trying again doesn't work.

I'm on a M1 Macbook pro, Teams desktop app. I've tried reinstalling, restarting my computer, resetting the cache.

Have you tried the help on this page? I know the error message is different but it's worth checking.

I don't use Mac computers but if you still have issues, you should be able to talk the MS through your Business 365 account.

In the admin centre use help and support to contact MS.

Also, MS will be releasing a Teams version that does not involve Rosetta but not sure when that will be.

On the web version, are you using MS Edge as the browser?

    Sorry for the delay!

    1. Check your permissions. Make sure you have the correct permissions to upload files to Teams. You can check your permissions by going to the Settings menu in Teams and selecting Permissions.
    2. Try uploading a different file. If you can upload other files, it's possible that the file you're trying to upload is corrupted. Try uploading a different file to see if that works.
    3. Contact your IT department. If you're still having trouble, contact your IT department for help. They may be able to troubleshoot the issue and resolve it for you.

I hope this helps you to resolve the issue. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you!

Thank you so much for you reply!

    1. Make sure you have a strong and stable internet connection. You can try restarting your router or modem, or connecting to a different network.
    2. Please disable antivirus and turn off the firewall on your computer. Then try to upload the file again

I hope this helps you to resolve the issue. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you!

    Sorry for the delay!

Ensure that the user has the necessary permissions to upload files in Teams. You can check this by going to the Microsoft Teams admin center and checking the user's roles and permissions.

Manage teams in the Microsoft Teams admin center:
