The title says it all. Is it possible to add custom emojis to the Microsoft teams chat? like in Slack or in Discord.

I absolutely agree with the need for custom emojis. The head process manager at my company had me create some useful, custom emotes for purely business reasons. Anyone who says custom emojis are just time-wasting and only for fun should add some creative, problem-solvers on their team.

Cor concerns of who can upload custom emotes, the reply above mine has great ideas.

I need to save time for my team by being able to add an emoji like "solved" to a thread so people don't waste time reading a thread that they don't need to. THX.

Your position is condescending. Your vision of "true customers" is biased. Different type of businesses use tools like Teams and the competition to Teams allows this level of customization that many companies embrace. Offering these features (optional) are just making the product appealing to a broader audience.

There's no downside to offering optional features like that: each business can decide to use it or not.

My company is making the transition right now, and the best way to describe the lack of creativity is by saying, "total buzz kill". There are many feature differences between the two, and Teams has some uncomfortable limitations, and besides transferring historical content, the inability to customize emojis is one of the biggest complaints. Mainly because this makes our communication with one another more fun and expressive. It helps us have more insight into our peers and their personalities in a remote environment.

I saw someone mention concern about their people taking up too much time creating custom emojis. That hasn't been our experience. The novelty wares off, and a few people create new ones every once in a while. 1+ the vote
