Why can’t I see my own status in the Teams mobile app?

When using the Teams chat on mobile app, I can see everyone else’s status, but not my own.

What I mean is, on my colleagues’ icons/profile pics, I can see a small circle indicating their status as green, red etc. However my own icon located top left (and in my own ‘Favourites’ list at the top) does not show the same status circle.

I CAN see my own status in the desktop app! So wondering why it doesn’t work the same on mobile.

Regarding the usefulness of this feature, sometimes I set myself to ‘appear away’ at the end of the day, then if I am using the mobile app next morning, I am not reminded that my status is set to ‘Away’. This is causing some frustration!

Appreciate if this simple change could be submitted as a feature request. The mobile app is inferior to the desktop in this regard.

Thanks!

Greetings, CMHSNL! My name is Arif, and I will assist you today.

I hope I have understood your concern well! What do you mean by MS Teams mobile app, While chatting, you can see others' MS Teams profiles and statuses, but on the same window, you are not able to see your MS Teams profile and status on the mobile app.

If that is the case, as I checked on my end, it is the same thing. On your mobile phone, others' status or MS Teams profile is showing, but yours is not. However, on the computer, with a bigger screen, it is showing. So, if you want this feature to be applied to MS Teams mobile app, please refer to the below Microsoft feedback link so that Microsoft developers can work on it.

    Warm Regards,
