Everyone. What fixed the issue for me is I disabled the Antivirus/Spam program via services.

Run: services.msc as an admin, stop all A/V services, run the installer for Teams, then once done, re-enable the A/V services.

Good day! I'm Raniel, a Microsoft user like you. I understand your frustration regarding this issue but I'll do my best to help.

Just to clarify, were you able to login using MS Teams web app ? https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkID=87302...

Can you also re-download the installation file, then right-click on it and select "Properties" > under the General tab, kindly select the option to Unblock the file, select OK, then try again. You may also download and run the program install uninstall troubleshooter to properly install the application:

    https://support.microsoft.com/topic/fix-problem...

If that didn't work, I also suggest that you delete all MS Teams entries on your credential manager, then reinstall using the steps below

    1. Quit MS Teams application/Kill the process via Task Manager
    2. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
    3. Click on Windows Credentials > search for Generic Credentials
    4. Remove each entry relating to MS Teams
    5. Uninstall the desktop app via control panel
    6. Delete the folder "Teams" under %appdata%\Microsoft\
    7. Perform a reboot
    8. Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus > and reinstall the latest version via https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-365/micr...

Note: Ensure to run the installer as administrator

Another option is to enable the "built-in" administrator account to isolate the issue:

    1. On your search bar, type command prompt and select "run as administrator"
    2. On the command prompt window, type net user administrator /active:yes and press Enter
    3. Reboot your machine, then login to your admin account, and check if you'll encounter the same issue.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm having this issue since updating to Win 11 22H2. I was able to get Teams to work after running Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner to remove all traces, but after a reboot Teams didn't load and I'm getting the same error again.

Are there any known incompatibility issues between 22H2 and Teams Desktop?

I get the same error when trying to reinstall with Teamssetup_c_w.exe or Teams_windows_x64.exe or using the the MS Store installer.

I'm getting the same error as the original author on what is a brand new laptop with Windows 11. These steps did not resolve the issue. The personal installer doesn't work, but the work/school one does. However this is for my personal computer and not one of those.
