Connecting and synchronizing calendars across Microsoft Teams and other services like Outlook

This does work, so I am not sure why you are experiencing that problem.
The steps I take to do this are:
- Open the status menu
- Click 'Set status message'
- Click 'Schedule out of office'
- Make sure 'Turn on automatic replies' is switched on
- Write my out of office message
- Select 'Send replies only during a time period' and set the dates/times
- Click 'Save'
This adds the time frame to my calendar as unavailable and sends a reply to anyone who emails me or tries to invite me to a meeting during that time.
