Why is there a continuous beeping sound when on mute during meetings wearing a Bluetooth headset? How can this sound be switched off?

I have a Sennheiser BlueTooth head set. Whilst on Teams and when on mute during meetings, it makes a beeping sound every few seconds. I called the supplier and they mentioned its a Teams issue. Please advise as one cannot focus on the meeting when dealing with this beeping sound constantly.

    The beep sound will vanish unless you update the firmware on your headset using the Sennheiser app (smart control).

    I have a Jabra Evolve headset. The "mute reminder tone" setting is in the Jabra Device Settings.

    Yep. I updated the 450BT firmware to version 5.8 using the Sennheiser smart control app and the issue is resolved. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Update is titled "removal off looped feedback tone while microphone is muted"
