Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

We have teams set-up to Automatically admit people that are People in my organization and guests, But when a Guests Joins they have to wait in the Lobby to be allowed in.

Due to the Way we use Teams we have a number of meetings that do not have the person that booked them joining the Meeting.

Before today this worked but now all Guests are having to sit in the Lobby.

I have set-up a new Meeting Policies Called Assessment Meeting Setting as below.

We are not able to change the Default Policy. This is due to the Way our domain works.

when I add this to myself there is no problem but When I try to add this new Meeting Policy to our test accounts, I get the below Error.

This is a shared mailbox.

But i feel the Problem we are seeing could this be linked to Service Health ID: TM439228 which started the same time as the Problem we are seeing?

Hello! My name is Mustafa, and I am an Independent Advisor as well as a long-time Microsoft user. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I am hopeful that I will be able to help you find a satisfactory solution.

so I did some research about the code that you have provided, and I found this.

"Guest users without Microsoft Teams licenses can't utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings

    ID: TM439228

    Status

    Service Degradation

    Impacted services

    Microsoft Teams

Details Title: Guest users without Microsoft Teams licenses can't utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings User Impact: Guest users without Microsoft Teams licenses can't utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings.

More info: This impacts external users without Microsoft Teams licenses that attempt to utilize the chat for internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings within the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients. Current status: We've confirmed we'll proceed with developing a code fix for deployment to address this issue. We expect development of the fix to be complete by our next scheduled communication, after which the fix will undergo testing and validation before proceeding with deployment to the affected environment. Given the nature of the fix and the associated changes required to resolve the issue, we expect that the solution may take an extended period of time to be deployed. Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and external users without Microsoft Teams licenses attempting to utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings are impacted. Root cause: A code change that interacts with user license checks introduced an issue that prevents external users without a license from accessing internally hosted Microsoft Teams meeting chats."

So I suppose the problem is with the guest accounts that are trying to join in. Based on the quotation above I assume that Microsoft is working on this to get it fixed.

Can you choose to accept the guests from the lobby?

Please let me know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.

    Warm Regards,

    Mustafa
