How do I find my Microsoft 365 administrator

Hi,

a user in our organization created a microsoft account under our company domain and automatically became the administrator of the M365 portal. But we have no idea who it is. Is there any way to ask microsoft which email from our domain belongs to the administrator? I couldn't find any help on the Microsoft website.

    • May l please confirm if that user has Microsoft 365 business account before?
    • Are there any other available administrators now? Can they access into Microsoft 365 admin center now?

    At meantime, please note that for account issue, as we are moderator belonging from Microsoft 365 Business community team, we have limited resource and permission to check further, but Data Protection Team has resources and permission to check it. So, if now there is no other available administrator who can access into admin portal in your organization, it is recommended to please kindly contact our dedicated team via call the Find Microsoft 365 for business support phone numbers by country or region - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn with selected country. Team available on phone support have higher permission and specific channel to handle this kind of concern, so they will assist you further.     Further regarding to your query about how to check admin roles in your organization, if you are admin and still can access into Microsoft 365 admin center, you can check admin roles and users in below several ways:

    • You can go to the user's details, find that new user and look under Roles on the Account page.
    • Or you can go to Roles>Roles assignments and select the admin role, such as Global administrators, and select assigned admins to see which users are assigned.
    • To check if there is new domain, you can do the following: In the **Microsoft 365 admin center>**click Settings>Domains, if there is a new domain added, click on it then select users to see which user belong to that domain.
    • If you still cannot find that user, you can contact online support via admin center. Our technical engineers will provide information and solution for you.
