Can I pin a file to the top of the 'Files' tab in a 'Chat' in Teams? I can pin a file in 'Teams > General > Files but can't see how to do this in a 'Chat'?

I’m Garcia and I will be happy to help you with your question, I am a Microsoft consumer like you. Additionally, this is a user support forum and Independent Advisors cannot access accounts.

In Microsoft Teams, you can currently only pin files to the top of the 'Files' tab in a channel within a team or in the 'General' channel. Currently, it is impossible to pin a file to the top of the 'Files' tab in a direct 'Chat' with another person or in a private channel.

To leave feedback for the Microsoft Teams developers. Here’s how you can do it:

Tap your profile picture. Tap Settings. Tap Help & Feedback. You have the option to: Get Help, View Diagnostics, Suggest a feature, or Send feedback -- https://support.microsoft.com/article/a557a90a-828c-482f-8a71-f933499e70f4
