Why is ms planner within ms teams all of the sudden non responsive moving tasks, ghost typing, delayed when doing anything within the program?

I have been using MS Planner within Teams since early 2020 and never had any issues. Around February 2023, all of the sudden the program started doing a variety of things on all of my different computers, so I know this isn't a hardware issue.

-If I click on a task to open it there is a delay of about 10 seconds

-If I click on the bubble to close out the task there is a delay of about 10 seconds

-If I am typing in the description or title it will show the first couple of words and then freeze and then about 10 second later the rest of the typed words will show up

-If I click and hold a task to move it up or down or to another basket, there is a delay and sometimes it won't grab the task

-If I click on the calendar to pick dates, there is a 10-20 second delay before the calendar opens and then sometimes it won't let me click on the date

-If I click on the X to close out a task, it delays about 10-20 seconds before closing.

I have already cleared the cache, deleted the program and reinstalled, used 3 different computers which one is brand new gaming computer.

My internet is very fast

We operate primarily on One Drive so my memory on all of the machines are empty

I tried ending the tasks through the Task Manager

1 of the machines is using windows 11 and the other 2 are using windows 10

I have done all updates that are available for both the program and windows

I don't use Teams for chat or anything other then the planner app and my employees operate within my Planner by moving tasks and changing dates, notes etc.

My IT guy doesn't know so I am hoping someone from the community or Microsoft can help. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

    Hi Steven!

Sorry to hear that. Given this kind of situation, I have a suggestions:

    >> If this issue does impact on your business a lot. Thus, I think it would be better for you to inform your organization's IT administrator of this issue and let them raise a support ticket in Office 365 admin center. Please work with the support agent there. If it's determined to be a back end issue, they will help you escalate the issue to the related teams.

    Your understanding is highly appreciated.

    Thank you Daniel.

I am not on the web version. I am using the Teams app on all 3 machines.

I use MS Edge as my browser; but again, I don't use Teams on there.

My internet speed varies because I use different machines at different locations but the problem is continuous no matter which machine or location I am at. Note that I do not have any issues with any other programs.

My first thought was the machine, so I bought a new MSI Gaming Laptop with best of the best hardware and the problem continued on that. I then started using my Microsoft laptop and that the program does the same thing on that.

The one thing you mentioned is the data. I do have about 6000 tasks that have been completed. Are you saying that I need to delete those?

Hello Steven! Thanks for reaching out.

My name is Daniel. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you." I'll be happy to help you out today!

By the way, don't worry, we will find a way to sort this out.

    >> There could be a number of causes for the delays in your MS planner. Here are some potential causes and remedies:

    >> Slow internet connection: Your Microsoft Planner may load slowly if your internet connection is slow. A solid connection and verifying your internet speed are two things you might want to try.

    >> Browser issues: Try emptying your browser's cache and cookies or switching to a different browser to see if it fixes the problem if you're using MS Planner in a browser.

    >> Large volumes of data: Your MS Planner may be taking a long time to load if you have a lot of data stored there. By eliminating any pointless chores or information, try to make your planner simpler.

    >> Your machine might not have enough system resources to function.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Sincerely,

    Daniel. I
