How can I set up organisations to speak to each other

Hi

I am work with a client and we both use teams, we both feel it would be more productive to speak over the teams IM system however when I try to message them it says "We can't set up the conversation because your organizations are not set up to talk to each other."

How can we set them up so they can speak to one and other?

    So this is a common response from Microsoft..... I only have access to the users that I work with from the other organizations that I work with not the IT department. How am I, or anyone else, supposed to get to another organization and walk them through changing a setting that I, if I knew what it was would change it myself, don't have control over at my organization.

    Hello Alice, My name is Indhurani, I’ll be happy to help you today.

    It sounds like there might be a configuration issue with your respective organizations' Teams settings. Make sure that the Teams settings for both organizations allow for external communication. You check this by going to Settings > Services and Add-ins > Microsoft Teams in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

    If it is not enabled, please contact your Teams admin center to enable it

    I'm not able to speak to a specific organization. I'm able to speak to all other clients but for a specific client I'm not able to initiate a chat on teams and it shows "We can't set up the conversation because your organizations are not set up to talk to each other." I'm pretty sure that the client's organization has not blocked our domain and they are able to speak to other domains too. What can we do about this?
