Report to see who you're spending your time with on Teams

Hi there.

I remember seeing a report a while back that showed me who I spend the most time with in meetings or in calls on Teams. I was just a regular user on teams (not an admin). Does anyone know where to find this report? It's not the Viva Insights report. and I don't need to see

Best wishes,

Michelle

    Hi Michelle,

No need to thank. It is a pleasure to help you.

To try to use these reports via Viva Insights platform, please could you try these following steps? Maybe this can help you configure it:

    • Go to the Teams app and click on the "Apps" icon in the navigation bar.
    • Search for "Viva Insights" and click on the app to open it.
    • In the Viva Insights app, click on the "Insights" tab to view your insights.
    • Under "Insights," you'll find a section called "Focus time." This section provides a report on the time you spend in calls and meetings with each person in Teams.

You can also turn on email notifications for the insights that you want to receive via email.

Once you've set up email notifications, you'll receive regular emails with your Viva Insights reports, including a report on your Focus time. You can customize the frequency of these emails to match your preferences.

Can you tell me if this helps you finding what you really need?

    Hope I could help you.

    Best regards,

    Hello Andre and Janbaz,

Thank you very much for your persistence to help me me solve my problem! I have never had admin access. I used to get an email from Microsoft telling me how much time I had spent with each person. I went searching through my inbox, much to my surprise it is Viva insights that used to send me this information! (see below). This was over a year ago and perhaps the report simply no longer contains this very useful information. Andre, I had some hope in your instructions - but unfortunately I do not have a "meetings" section when I click on "Settings" in Teams (see bottom screenshot).

Thank you bot though for all the help offered.

This was also very useful - but also no longer in the Viva report.

Now it looks like I just get a report about how I'm feeling, and when I'd like to set some down time and focus time. Its not very useful at all.

For my Teams settings - it says nothing about meetings:

Hello Michelle! My name is Janbaz, and I am an Independent Advisor.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem, and I hope I can assist you to find a satisfactory solution.

If you're referring to Microsoft Teams' "Who I Spend My Time With" report, you cannot access it as an ordinary user. Only Teams administrators have access to this report, which is a part of the "Teams usage metrics" in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

The "Who I Spend My Time With" report is one of the insights offered by the Teams usage statistics about how Teams are used and adopted within a business. This report shows who Teams users engage with most in meetings and chats by visualizing their communication patterns.

You need to ask your Teams administrator to enable the Teams usage analytics in the Microsoft 365 admin center if you want to see this report.

Please check the below article related to your issue:

Please let me know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.

    Warm Regards,

Hi Janbaz, thank you for your reply. Can you perhaps give me a url to see if I already have this report enabled? (The one where I can see who my time is spent with)? Or advise me step by step how to browse there ? I have a feeling it may be running, I just unsubscribed to the email alerts.
