I would like to receive high priority notification while I'm presenting/sharing the screen

I'm missing started meeting notifications because I share the screen with my colleagues. It is essential to receive notifications to not to miss the overlapped meetings. It happens when I use "Windows" or "Teams build-in" notifications; it does not matter.

As I understand the problem, Teams sends "started meeting" notifications always as "Teams build-in" notifications even if "Windows" notifications are enabled, and there is no option to allow "Teams build-in" notifications during screen sharing.

Please consider to:

  1. Add an extra option to allow "Teams build-in" notifications during screen sharing.
  2. Or improve notification about overlapping calls/meetings
  3. Use the Windows notification center for "started meeting" notifications.
  4. Notify the presenter that all incoming calls, started meetings, and chat notifications will be muted regardless chosen settings
  5. Allow the presenter to choose notification settings before screen sharing starts.

More context:

I have unmuted notification during the meeting:

I have disabled the "Do not disturb" mode during calls and set high priority for Teams:

Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Teams for business | Meetings and calls | Screen sharing

    Thanks for your clarification.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I do not have a solution for this issue. However, I want to assure you that Microsoft is aware of this and is working to resolve it.

I suggest changing the Teams presence from presenting to busy or available as presenting considered as do not disturb.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will experiment with these settings and give feedback if this help.

Unfortunately, my initial post does not relate to urgent notifications and chat messages but to calls/meetings notifications instead. Please spend more time understanding the context.

    Hi Dmitry,

I'm Ahmed and I am here & happy to help.

I understand that you would like to receive high priority notifications while you are presenting or sharing your screen on Teams.

One possible way to achieve this is to use priority notifications for Teams messages.

Priority notifications notify users every 2 minutes for a period of 20 minutes or until messages are picked up and read by the recipient. You can mark a message as urgent by selecting Priority under More options when composing a message.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
