I had the same issue but eventually found the notes in a bizarre location. In Teams go to Calendar. Open the meeting that you took notes for. Click on "Details" tab. You'll see your meeting info w teams links, etc. Scroll down the page and your notes should be there. Why are the notes hidden away? Should be an easy access through the meeting chat or at least have a "notes" tab like when you start the notes. When I tagged people on action items, they got a link to the meeting notes and those open in Sharepoint.

I found the way to have the Meeting Notes now updated for THE SERIES and not just for that one occurrence of a teams meeting.

It's a little complicated to perform and I would not expect the everyday end user to understand what is going on with this new meeting notes experience.

In the Teams app > Calendar > Find the occurrence of the last Teams Meeting where you had meeting notes in.

Copy all those notes to your clipboard.

Now still in the Teams App > Calendar > Open the Series of that Teams Meeting.

And then click on Recap to view Notes.  It should say that you are viewing notes for this series.

After downloading the file with previous meeting notes, I then added a OneNote tab in the Teams meeting/chat room. I created a OneNote page and pasted the old meeting minutes into it.

Not an ideal solution, but at least the meeting minutes are now accessible, plus people can update them.

It is bizarre! And now, you have to join a meeting to get into notes. And as of July 25, no access to meeting notes at all for me or my colleagues.

This was frustrating for a bit, but then I went through all the replies in this post and finally found this which helped me recover my Meeting Notes. Just as mentioned by M_Krawitz (Thank You), I downloaded the .mht file before, but it was defaulting to Edge and then I tried Chrome. By opening with Word, I was able to finally access the Meeting Notes.

My plan is to take my recovered notes and copy what I need from them and then update and use the new, Collaborative Meeting Notes feature that was mentioned and linked to in a previous post here. Here is the link again:
