We have the same issue from today with our organisation accounts, but i am the admin and have not changed anything.
If it helps your admins they can edit your policies here to re enable the delete option

I'm not able to delete a message in Microsoft Teams anymore, due to the fact the "delete" option is gone.

We also just saw this happen on our Tenant (I am also the Admin and have not changed the setting). Per the previous message from Darren, we have enabled the setting once again and are now able to delete messages as needed (after closing Teams and reopening fresh).
Seems to have been a service wide change...

is this an organization account? or the chat belongs to another organization?
If so then it could be that the admin has removed the option for users to delete their messages. For more information can you contact your admin and ask if this is the case?

Hey Gerben, Then it is your admin who has changed the settings of your organization, which is why you can't delete messages anymore, if you don't like this you have to ask the admin to give you permission.

Yes, it's an organization account.
Very strange... cause of colleague of mine was able to delete messages earlier this morning.
Just to be sure I checked with him whether he was still able to delete messages, and it seems he also can't delete messages anymore.
So, you suggest me to take it up with my IT colleagues, or?
