Microsoft Teams IOS Application not Funtioning with External Mic...****?

Team -

I have tested several USB-C and Bluetooth devices for my IPad Teams meetings. Not a single one of them works. No headphones nothing. Only audio works. I get it that you guys don't want to give into apple, but get over it already! This is ridiculous. I need to be able to use my teams set up and not have worries on people not being able to hear. There is not a reason why you would ever want to have a speaker and no mic in a meeting. Always have external mics and mute participants. What are you going to do about this? There is no troubleshooting out there.... So fix the damn problem.

Thanks

Chad

I have done all these same things. It is 100% a teams app issue. Many mics tried and all work with voice recorder and zoom, none work with teams app. And in mobile devices you can’t use the web browser, it automatically send you to the app or you select cancel and have no options.

This is a MS TEAMS issue. I have tried the following devises and all the same only audio connects. No microphone

    • Microsoft Modern USB-C

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/d/microsoft-modern-usb-c-speaker/8x0j3n3xdlp5#overview

    **MICROSOFT CERTIFIED**

    • Microsoft Audio Dock SpeakerPhone

    **MICROSOFT CERTIFIED**

    • POLY SYNC 10

    **MICROSOFT CERTIFIED**

    **MICROSOFT CERTIFIED**

    POLY FREE 60+

    https://www.poly.com/us/en/products/headsets/voyager/voyager-free-60

APPLE AIRPOD PRO GEN 1 & GEN 2

All of this has been tested thoroughly and all of this points to MS TEAMS not allowing use of external microphone. Every device tested was brand new when tested. You software has a patch issue with the mic source with in the app itself. You cannot choose the same settings as you can from the desktop version, and in addition you cannot access MS TEAMS on any browser because you don't support that either. Congrats on effing up the standard.

I have ZERO Faith that MS is going to resolve this issue. but thanks.

I have the same issue and can confirm this. Microphones do not work, and the option for allowing mics in IOS settings is no longer available for the teams app.

I would be fine with this if it worked. However, it does not even let me login online, it just directs me back to the application. Or says "Download App"

So no not a fix not a work around.

    Hi Chad,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues using your external Microphone on Teams. To isolate your case, please use a web browser and go to https://teams.microsoft.com/ then try to see if you'll be able to use your external devices.
