Thanks for taking the time out to respond my topic- much appreciated.
After working with the work colleague today we managed to perform a firmware update to teams version 5, and the root cause of why the background appears blank is because of the accessibility mode feature. An end user had turned on the accessibility mode feature of which disabled the standard background view.
After turning off accessibility mode the standard background reappeared as per normal, resolving the issue on hand.
