Can I take a screenshot within a chat in Teams like is possible in Zoom?

Zoom has a function within chats to take a screenshot directly in the chat--it's super helpful and faster workflow than having to do a Snip separately then annotate and send in a chat. Hoping there is some hidden function or add-on in Teams to be able to do this as well.

Thanks!

My company just switched to teams from webex and the lack of this feature in teams is frustrating to say the least.

    Hello Marie-Catherine,

My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.

While Teams doesn't currently have a built-in screenshot function within chats like Zoom, there are still several ways to achieve a similar workflow and capture chat content quickly:

    1. Use built-in screenshot shortcuts:

Windows: Press Windows Key + Shift + S to open the Snipping Tool, select the desired capture area, and copy/paste it into the chat. You can then annotate this screenshot before sending it. Mac: Press Shift + Command + 4 to activate the screenshot selection tool, choose the area, and paste it into the chat. You can use apps like Preview or macOS Markup for annotation. 2. Leverage browser extensions (in Teams web app):

Extensions like "FireShot" or "Nimbus Screenshot" offer in-browser capture functionalities. Install one of these extensions, take a screenshot within the Teams chat web interface, and directly share it in the chat with annotation options.

Need the same feature like Zoom. It is a pain to press 3 keys to take screen shot and then edit in another app. In Zoom, you can insert text / symbols seamlessly.

I can picture the Teams project team now...  you know, people love the one click screen grab icon in Zoom.  I bet they will love it even more if we make it 6 - 10 clicks...

    Hello,

is this feature something you are working on?

Because all your proposed solutions are simply workarounds... not all that we have to send as screenshot is an internal chat... we often have to send screenshots of our internal system, we b pages, etc.

Zoom has had it for at least a couple of years...

    Thank you, Paolo
