When making a test call from Teams, I do not see my face but only the background image.

It has been the problem for all the devices I use when logging in under my MSFT account.

I also checked my camera settings, and they all seem correct:

What am I missing to have my face shown in the Teams call?

    Hello Leonid,

I am a Microsoft user like you, providing solutions to community members; I am NOT a Microsoft employee.

I understand it's frustrating that your camera isn't showing your face during Teams calls Leonid. The fact that it's happening across multiple devices suggests the issue might lie with your Teams settings or account rather than a specific device camera malfunction. Let's troubleshoot the camera issue:

    1. Check Teams Camera Permissions: Go to your Teams settings (click on your profile picture and select "Settings"). Under "Permissions," ensure "Camera" is toggled on. This allows Teams to access your camera.
    2. Conflicting Applications: Close any other applications that might be using your camera, such as Skype, Zoom, or video editing software. These programs can sometimes conflict with Teams.
    3. Restart Teams and Device: A simple restart of Teams and your device can often resolve temporary glitches. Close Teams completely and relaunch it. Restart your computer or mobile device as well.
    4. Update Teams: Ensure you're running the latest version of Teams. Outdated versions might have bugs that updates can fix. Check for updates within the Teams app itself or download the latest version from the official Microsoft Teams download page (https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-teams/download-app).
    5. Camera Driver Issues (For Computers): If you're using a computer, outdated or corrupted camera drivers can cause issues. Try updating your camera driver: Search for "Device Manager" in your Windows search bar. Expand the "Cameras" section, right-click on your camera device, and select "Update driver." Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the on-screen instructions.
    6. Test Camera in Other Applications: Try using your camera in another application like a web browser camera test or a video editing program. This can help determine if the issue is specific to Teams or a broader camera problem.

While less likely, in rare cases, firewall or antivirus software might block camera access for Teams. Check your firewall and antivirus settings to ensure Teams is allowed to use the camera. If none of these solutions work, you should probably report the issue to Microsoft Support at https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/ or leave your feedback on the official MS TEAMS feedback website https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback

By trying these steps, you should be able to resolve the camera issue and see your face during Teams calls.

    Hope this helps

    -Stephen N.
