I just updated to latest version of Teams and MS Error Reporting constantly pops up saying there was a problem with microsoft update assistant and my recent work might be lost. I keep saying Ok to restarting the update asst but nothing changes. Should i just go back to the old Teams?
***SOLUTION***
The solution that has worked so far for me is from Bradley Kent's reply.
Manually update AutoUpdate (I used the Feb 2024 update)

I had to uninstall the New Teams application, and go back to the old Teams version. That made the popup alert stop. I won't be reinstalling New Teams until I know the problem is fixed.
Unfortunately the Terminal commands won´t work either :(
The Reporting Message keeps on forcing itself into the foreground. I deleted Teams and got rid of the Error. Then I re-installed the latest Teams App. So far so good. But after quitting the App the report came back. It is disturbing my work, whether I write, draw in Photoshop or handle my files and storage. As long as this is not fixed I won´t be installing the App again.
I'm having the same problem, and neither clearing my cache nor reinstalling Teams helps. New Teams, macOS 14.0.
Hi Adam
I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself no one here is a Microsoft employee.
To fix this problem, you can try the following solutions:
Uninstall and reinstall Teams Clear the Teams cache.

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.
