Hi NELLRH, My name is Umar and I'd be happy to help you out with your question.

Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.

There are a few reasons why you might not be seeing the options to choose chat history when adding someone to a Teams chat:

    1. Group Chat vs. One-on-One Chat: The option to choose chat history is only available when adding someone to a group chat. If you're trying to add someone to a one-on-one chat, there is no history to manage, so no options appear.
    2. Teams Version and Platform: The chat history options feature might not be available in all versions of Teams or on all platforms. Check if you're using the latest version of Teams and if the platform you're using supports this feature.
    3. Chat Restrictions: The chat might have restrictions set by the owner or administrator, preventing participants from managing chat history options when adding members.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
