Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hello Teriann,
My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.
In Microsoft Teams, you can initiate a meeting and even play a video without the host being physically present. Here are a couple of ways to achieve this:
- Start an Instant Meeting:
Open Microsoft Teams. Go to the Calendar on the left side. Click “Meet now” in the upper right corner. You’ll have the opportunity to set up a few things before starting the meeting: Give it a title. Choose whether you want to use video. Pick your preferred audio source. When you’re ready, hit "Join now".
- Allowing Participants to Begin Meetings:
Participants can indeed start a meeting without the host being present, subject to the following settings: Ensure that the “Let anonymous people start a meeting” policy setting is configured appropriately. Adjust the Lobby settings to allow automatic admission. Set the same for per-meeting settings
