Hi Liam,
My name is Umar and I'd be happy to help you out with your question.
Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.
To create an open-ended poll in Microsoft Teams, you have a few options:
- Using Forms:
Forms now include open-answer questions, allowing you to create polls with text responses.
Here’s how you can set it up:
Go to the community, group chat, or meeting chat where you want to create the poll.
Tap the plus button next to the Type a message field.
Select Polls.
On the Polls screen, enter your question and options (you can add up to six choices).
Save your poll.
- Using Polly:
You can use Polly, an app that integrates with Teams, to create open-ended polls.
Follow these steps:
Add the Polly app to your Teams meeting using the instructions in this link.
Once added, you can create a new poll and choose the open-ended question option.
Participants can then provide text responses.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
