teamsmeeting link not showing when I create a meeting invite

This has just started happening yesterday - I open Outlook desktop version (Office 365), browse to calendar, then new meeting. The new Meeting window opens. I have the Teams Meeting add-in enabled. I setup the meeting, and select the "Teams Meeting" option. It then places "Microsoft Teams Meeting" into the location line, BUT THE TEAMS MEETING LINK AND DIAL IN INFORMATION IS NOT GENERATED.

I followed the steps outlined in this forum (Outlook options, go to add-ins, remove Teams add-in, then wait for a few minutes, then add it back in). Same results - Team link is not generated.

Also, I opened Calendar from office.com (web version) and tried it - instead of showing the option to make it a Teams meeting, it shows an option to make it a Skype meeting. So, I cannot setup a Teams meeting from the web browser version either.

    Hello Jayne Florence-Hoo,

Good morning! Thank you for publishing in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

It seems like you are experiencing some issues with the Microsoft Teams Meeting add-in not generating the meeting link and dial-in information in Outlook.

Typically if you are using the Outlook desktop version (and office.com) through a Personal Office 365 account (family plan), not a business Office 365 business account. So, you need to understand correctly that the behavior you are experiencing (Teams link will no populate into new meeting) is expected behavior, and will not work unless you log in with a business account. Or You will need to create events in Teams and copy the link. So if you are using Personal Office 365 account (family plan), let me know i will move your issue to the dedicated team you may get accurate information.

However, to better understand the problem and provide a solution, we need more details from you, please provide us with the following information. Thank you.   1-Please can you share with us your outlook version screenshot as below picture

2-Please can you Completely uninstall Microsoft Teams.
    . Restart your device.
    . Reinstall Microsoft Teams.

. Sign in the business account, signed in on your Outlook.

3 . please Verify Teams Add-In in Outlook:
Double-check that the Teams Meeting add-in is enabled in Outlook by following these steps:
      - In Outlook Desktop for the Teams Meeting Add-in by going to File > OptionsAdd-ins, then select Gonext to COM Add-ins, Confirm that the Teams Meeting add-in is listed and enabled. If not, enable it.
      - Restart Outlook after making any changes.

    1. Please since you said : "I opened Calendar from office.com (web version) and tried it - instead of showing the option to make it a Teams meeting, it shows an option to make it a Skype meeting. So, I cannot setup a Teams meeting from the web browser version either."

Are you signed into Outlook on the web using a Microsoft 365 Work or School account ? Only work or School accounts have the option to create teams meetings in Outlook on the web.

Outlook.com accounts or familly subscription need to create Teams meetings in the Teams app.( however if you are using outlook.comor personal familly subscription let me know we have dedicated team)

If you have a Microsoft 365 Work or School account, check your settings here: https://outlook.office.com/mail/options/calendar/eventAndInvitations And if teams is not an option, you need to speak with your administrator - they changed something to revert to Skype meetings.
