In the "new TEAMS" in the Chat I cannot create a group and add members to it. It used to be a feature and simply clicked on more options. Where is this option in the new TEAMS?

In the TEAMS update you cannot create a contact list and add contacts to them in the CHAT feature.

It used to be located in the more options.

Will this feature be added in the future?

I used this quite a bit to categorize my team members vice company wide co-workers

It's unfortunate that you took away this feature. The People App is definitely not the answer. It has nothing to do with the Chat App. The whole purpose of being able to put contacts into groups is so that you can easily see who is chatting with you and if you put them into your "team" it is so much easier to access. This is about messaging someone not emailing someone. Please bring back this feature!!

I know that I am not alone in this as I was just discussing this with my co-worker this morning. It is ridiculous that you have to scroll through a huge list of people to find out who is messaging you (if you have a big list of contacts saved that is).

Indeed, it seems Microsoft has suppressed this feature. It was super useful!

    Bring it back!

Please bring the grouping back!! I continue to switch back to OLD Teams so I can see who on my team is available. I have 3 different roles on my team and
"pinning" is too cluttered, I need to be able to group my team members by their role and not have to search for them!

The people app is a nightmare. It sucks in contacts from every nook and cranny of my PC and phone and scrambles it up in one place. And i cant create groups under people. Hardly an alternative to the chat/groups feature. Another FAIL from Microsoft.

The People app doesn't cut it with the grouping feature in new Teams. I found the feature very useful in Classic Teams.

The only issue I had with the grouping in classic teams was the limitation to the number of groups and contacts, but at least it was there.
