Having the exact same issue with New Teams. I have switched back to classic Teams on the same laptop and the noise cancelling is working perfectly. Definitely an issue with New Teams - please fix this asap otherwise New Teams is not usable.
Noise reduction in the new teams
Hello,
I have been told that the noise reduction is no longer working in the new Teams. I have noticed the same thing myself. However, nothing has changed in the interface compared to the old Teams regarding this option.
Have you noticed the same thing?
Best regards,
MC

- Try resetting the headset. Disconnect the headset from your device and then reconnect after a few seconds.
- Run the troubleshooter -Press the Windows key + X -Go to Settings -Click Update and Security -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter. -Look for Speech and run the troubleshooter.
- Turn off audio enhancements -> In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, then select it from the results. -> Select Hardware and Sound from the Control Panel, and then select Sound. -> On the Playback tab, select and hold (or right-click) the Default Device, and then select Properties. -> Select the Advanced tab and uncheck either the Enable audio enhancements or the Enable sound effects check box (depending on which option you see), select Apply, and try to play your audio device. -> If that doesn't work, on the Playback tab, select and hold (or right-click) another default device (if you have one), and select Properties. Uncheck either the Enable audio enhancements or the Enable sound effects check box (depending on which option you see), select Apply, and try to play audio again. Do this for each default device.
- Uninstall and reinstall the driver -Press the Windows key + X -Go to Device Manager -Expand the Audio Input and Output -Look for the Microphone driver that was installed -Right-click and Uninstall After restarting, the driver will be automatically installed.
