No notification pop up in NEW Team

I recently updated to the new Team, and it no longer shows a pop-up notification at the right bottom of the screen when someone posts something in a chat or someone joins a schedule meeting etc. I have the channel notification setting on but it's just not showing anything like the old Team Classic.

Is there a way to get this feature back? I noticed in the Windows's Notification & actions setting, it is only showing Microsoft Teams classic as one of the senders. Does new Team go under the same setting here?

    Ok, this has gone way beyond negligent behavior to down right malicious, all Windows users in my organization are having issues with the new teams' notification not showing up like the classic one, and having to rely on their phones to be notified of a new message or call, and on top of that teams is now telling the few people who have stayed on the classic UI that it will be retired soon and that everyone will have to use the new broken teams, and before you make the same post again please note that I have gone beyond your suggested steps and have actually downloaded and installed the new teams from the Microsoft website on a new laptop with a fresh windows install, still the same issue.

    PLEASE FIX THE ISSUES WITH THE NEW TEAMS BEFORE FORCING US TO USE IT.

    New Teams client does not use Windows notifications like the Teams Classic client. I and others have the same problem since switching to new Teams client - no popup when call comes in. No way to answer the incoming call.

    On a Mac: Installing the new version turned off my notifications. I solved it by going into my system settings, and re-turning on notifications for the Teams app. Hope this helps!

    Same problem here. All this information provided here doesn't work... I always see instructions about clearing cache, checking Teams and Windows notification settings, removing and installing the application... None of this works, absolutely NOTHING. This is very bad. Someone needs to solve this problem!
