Root cause: A recent service update, intended to improve the overall experience of the Publish Item Command for document libraries, inadvertently caused the "Submit for Approval" button in SharePoint Online libraries to be missing.
Next steps:
- We're reviewing our code and service update procedures to help understand why the "Submit for Approval" button became absent, in order to help prevent similar problems in the future.
This is the final update for the event.
