Conversations involving multiple participants, allowing collaboration and information sharing in Teams
Hi Mark,
Thank you for reaching out to this forum. I'm Utkarsh and as a fellow Microsoft user, I'm here and ready to help you today. I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.

Unfortunately, in Microsoft Teams, there's no way to retroactively share chat history with someone you've already added to a chat without the "view chat history" option selected. This option only appears when initially adding someone to the chat.
However, you can still consider these alternatives:
-Summarize the conversation: Briefly explain the key points or decisions discussed in the chat history before the new member was added. This can give them context and help them understand the ongoing conversation.
-Share relevant files or links: If any files or links were shared in the chat that are crucial for the new member, you can directly share them with them through Teams chat, email, or another appropriate channel.
While it's not ideal, these alternative methods can help the new member stay on track and contribute to the chat effectively.
I hope this information helps! If I can be of help with anything else, please let me know. I will be glad to answer any other questions that you might have.
