Additional features, settings, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Teams categories
Well, it is now broken again... so my Teams download was from the Microsoft Store, not the website. Apparently, Microsoft posts different versions in different places... It worked just fine for 24 hours, now won't let me in, saying the "free" version has ended (even though I have M3565 subscription)...
AND I ended up doing a LOT of digging...
In summary, the add-in for Teams into Outlook is apparently ONLY for business and education, not personal accounts even if M365 subscribed... UGG. I'm not sure why I couldn't find that listed on any communication from Microsoft, but it seems to be the case.
- The Microsoft Store indeed has "Microsoft Teams", but the installation reveals that it is the "classic" (didn't say that on the description, but says it on the app after installation), and the last paragraph of the description says it is for business and education ONLY... not personal accounts, even if M365 subscribed. I don't know why it worked for me for 24 hours, but it did... and now it doesn't. Somehow I seem to have had some business name linked to my personal account at some point (same email address, though), and I don't know how... but it isn't funded.
- I found a few community posts that say the add-in is ONLY for business and education, thus not a part of the New Teams...

THEREFORE, with my personal account, I can only schedule Teams meetings through the new Teams app's interface with my calendar there.
and some others:
Not sure why this page doesn't mention it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/schedule-a-microsoft-teams-meeting-from-outlook-883cc15c-580f-441a-92ea-0992c00a9b0f
Here's the error message I get today when I tried to open the Teams app (which turned out to be Teams Classic, and only available for business and education).
