New Teams suck. How can I permanently disable to popup asking me to switch? What is this trend with software pushing bad releases? And by suck I mean it's unstable - when ever doing a video call or sharing a screen, it freezes without fail.

I have a similar problem (even overloading my CPU). I have an I7 32Gb RAM and 8Gb GPU. I have tried to disable the GPU in TEAMS, but I can't see it on the New Teams. How do I disable the GPU on the NEW TEAMS please?

I completely agree. Teams for MacBook does not work at all. And if I download the older one for Apply Chips, then it just downloads the New Teams, that should not even be in Beta state. It crashes on sooo many random instances, and the camera hardly ever work or it just says connecting to meetings, without ever going anywhere. People at my workplace has the same issues.

Why force download New Teams, when using the old one? And why open New Teams, when I open the old one? Forcing my to use a product that does not work. At least the old teams only partly bugged.

Can anybody at MS find a solution to this as I am also struggling with this, but on an Apple Mac.

Works 100% with GPU disabled on the Classic Teams cause this setting was on the front screen.

But now we are forced to use the "New Teams" which is just terrible!

So anybody know how to disable the GPU acceleration in the New Teams??????????

    Please MS!
    Make this work for us!

Why do people persist in using third-rate software when there are far more reliable options out there?

The Microsoft brain-washing phenomenon strikes again. I wonder if people use the same logic when buying a car or TV.....probably not, although they are all waiting for that first Microsoft car & TV to waste their money on.

If you like progress and good tech, don't use Microsoft. They have never produced ground breaking technology in their life.

Hi Jean-Pierre M, Thank you for posting on the forum today. I’m Bambi, a user like you and I’ll be happy to assist you. I understand your frustration with the Microsoft Teams experience. It’s essential to have reliable communication tools, especially for video calls and screen sharing. While I can’t directly fix the software, I can offer some suggestions to improve your Teams experience: 1. Disable GPU Hardware Acceleration: Some users have reported that disabling GPU hardware acceleration in Teams can help fix camera freezing issues. To do this, go to Teams Settings > General and select Disable GPU hardware acceleration (requires restarting Teams). 2. Update Your Graphics Driver: Ensure that your graphic driver is up to date. Outdated drivers can lead to compatibility issues. Visit your computer manufacturer’s website or the graphics card manufacturer’s website to download the latest driver. 3. Monitor System Resources: Teams video calls can be resource-intensive. Close other applications and browsers to free up system resources. Consider upgrading your RAM if you’re experiencing freezing issues frequently. If none of these help, you can stick to classic Teams. However, the pop-ups may be due to updates or organization policy. Do you use a work/school account? If yes, consider reaching out to your IT admin to disable the update for your account explaining the challenges you have as well. IT admins can push an update using policy management as they maintain the settings of features for all users in the domain. I hope this information helps. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with. Best Regards, Bambi

Those options are not available on the new teams.
