When I schedule a Teams meeting myself the only option for myself and participants is to use their computer audio. What setting do I need to adjust to open the phone call in option?

    Hello JMATHEWS224,

I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

To enable the phone audio option when scheduling a Teams meeting, you need to make sure you are scheduling a "Teams Live Event" rather than a standard "Teams Meeting." Live Events have different settings and options, including the ability for attendees to join via phone.

Here are the steps to schedule a Teams Live Event with phone audio options:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Teams desktop or web application.
    2. Click on the Calendar tab in the left sidebar.
    3. Click on the "New Meeting" button to schedule a new meeting.
    4. In the meeting details, enter the meeting title, date, and time.
    5. Under the "Meeting options," make sure to select "Live event" from the drop-down menu.
    6. Configure the other settings for your Live Event, such as permissions, presenter options, and attendee options.
    7. Scroll down to the "Event options" section. Here, you'll see the "Audience" section where you can choose "Allow anonymous people to join" and "Q&A."
    8. To enable the phone audio option, select the "Phone audio" option under "Audio and video options." This will allow participants to dial in via phone for the audio portion of the Live Event.
    9. Complete the rest of the event details and click "Save" to schedule the Teams Live Event.

    Best Regards, Shalom
