Designating responsibilities to team members using task management tools in Teams
Hello
I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.
It seems that Microsoft Teams' Shifts feature currently does not support overlapping activities. The Shifts tool is designed to schedule tasks linearly, meaning one after another, rather than concurrently.
However, Microsoft is continuously working on improving its products and services based on user feedback and technological advancements. So while this feature might not be available now, it could very well be improved or added in future updates.
In the meantime, you might consider using the "Notes" section of each shift to manually note any overlapping activities. This isn't an ideal solution, but it could serve as a workaround until a more robust feature is implemented. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/shifts-events-overlap/td-p/2196608
I recommend providing your feedback directly to Microsoft through the feedback option in Teams. This helps Microsoft understand what features are important to users and can influence future development priorities
I hope this helps
