    Hello Chris, My name is Indhurani, I’ll be happy to help you today.

    Microsoft Teams allows users to set an Out of Office status. If you set an Out of Office message in Outlook Microsoft Teams can also sync the information from there.

    When you remove the Out of Office alert from Outlook, it should likewise be removed from Microsoft Teams.

    If your Microsoft Teams status is stuck on Out of Office, try the fixes below.

    1. Reset Microsoft Teams status

    Microsoft Teams doesn’t have its own Out of Office status but it does have an option to reset its status.

    > Open Microsoft Teams.

    > Click your profile at the top right.

    > Go to Available (or whatever status you see), and click Reset status.

    1. Check Outlook invites

    During your Out Of Office period, if you received a meeting invite that fell on those dates, but also extended beyond them to dates when you’d be back in the office, they will all be marked as Out of Office. You will have to remove these invites to get rid of the Out of Office status in Microsoft Teams.

    > Open Outlook on your desktop or in your browser.

    > Select the Outlook calendar.

    > Double-click a meeting invite or event that is set to Out of Office.

    > Once the event is open, open the Show As dropdown.

    > Change the status from Out of Office to Free.

    Hope it will be fixed. Please let me know if you still need further assistance.

    Regards,

    Indhurani

    I found someone else's invite for OOO which I had accepted and it got added to my calendar. DELETING that invite from my calendar made me AVAILABLE again. :)

    The suggestion helped.. @Indhurani

    I set my out of office a couple weeks ago and have not been able to find a way to turn the status off. I've tried for about 4 days now. Please help.

    I found a fix that might be useful for OP. See steps:

    1 - Open MS Outlook logged in the same account which is being used in Microsoft Teams;

    2 - Turn off automatic replies in outlook, this can be achieved by clicking button available on top of outlook User Interface.

    (Used Microsoft Outlook and Teams on MacOS)

    3 - Check MS Teams status bar/ Or try reset status;

    My solution for this problem was not related to any invite but rather because I had enabled automatic replies on Outlook. Apparently, it is not possible to have Outlook automatic responses turned-on while having a status which is other than 'Out Of Office'.

    There is no way on this big, green/brown earth I'm going through all of that to fix Microsoft's bug. How about let's expect that from MS???

    Hi,

    Thank you, I really appreciate the suggestions.

    However, I went through my entire calendar and checked the status’ of all my recurring meetings but it did not fix the issue.

    Do you have any other suggestions?
