New Teams doesn't stay pinned to taskbar.

Greetings to the community,

After the upgrade to the New Teams app every time i pin the app in the windows taskbar and restart or turn off and on my pc the app is no longer there.

Also i cannot seem to find a way to find the new teams installation path and therefore i can not add it as a desktop shortcut.

It has become very frustrating and every time i open my pc i have to select the old, classic teams app and select the option "keep using the new teams" in order to work.

    You can try this to create a desktop shortcut to the New Teams.

    1. Right-click Start
    2. Click Run
    3. Type in shell:AppsFolder and then press the Enter key or click the OK button
    4. This will open up Explorer to the Applications folder. Scroll down to find the New Teams app.
    5. Click, hold, and drag New Teams to an open area on the Desktop. You'll see that it says Create link in Desktop before you.
    6. Release your click and your Desktop shortcut will now be created.

    The problem in question is not pinning the new Teams to the Taskbar. The problem is that the new Teams unpins itself, leaving nothing in its place, and I must then go through the steps to pin it over again.

    Thank you very much fellow problem solver. This in fact actually worked and i got the desktop shortcut!

    If you or any other community member can help me with the disappearing taskbar pin that would be great!

    Hi Adekunle,

    Unfortunately this didn't resolve the issue.

    The "Allow user pinning" option is enabled for all our company users by default.
