My headphones do not work in Teams

I have been using my headphones for a while. Everything works perfectly on my laptop, and when somebody calls me on Teams my headphones even ring. But the moment I get into a Teams call, there is complete silence.

I already have changes the device settings to my headphone, so that is not the issue. Does anybody experience the same issue, and did anybody resolve the issue?

    Hello Headphone U,

I’m Segunfunmi, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here in this forum.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble with your headphones in Teams. There could be several reasons why your headphones are not working with Microsoft Teams, such as incorrect selection of an audio device in Microsoft Teams, incorrect privacy settings in your Windows 11/10 Settings, corrupted or outdated Bluetooth driver of your system, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference, etc.

Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:

Check your device settings in Teams and ensure your headphone is selected as the speaker and unmuted.

Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter or update the Bluetooth drivers if you use Bluetooth headphones.

Enable the microphone access for Teams and other apps in your device settings.

Close and restart Teams after connecting your headphones to your device.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards, Segunfunmi.
