Can you make the "High Contrast" Theme in the new Teams the same as the old one?

I suffer from Glaucoma and used the High Contrast view to help me see the chats more clearly in the old Teams. Read messages would appear to be Yellow, while new messages would be white. In the new teams, read and new messages are white and I cannot differentiate them. I understand that a dot is added for more clarity, however for those of us with impaired vision, this is simply not enough. Can you please restore the read messages in High Contrast back to yellow?

Hey Everyone, to echo the thoughts of all above, I cannot stress the importance of this change for those of us affected with eye conditions. Like many on this thread, my company is forcing the change by 3/31 and that's going to lease me in a really rough spot, along with the rest on this thread. I did contact my IT department to see if they could make the request with Microsoft a bit easier than we can, and they stated that they did, however there's no telling when or if that would even be. So getting the high contrast view corrected should be a high priority for those of us in need.

I also have this problem. I have multiple eye conditions and cannot easily tell which messages are bolded. Reverting to the old teams is not an option for me because it is not compatible with my work. How do I get the yellow read messages back or some other way to tell the difference between read and unread messages?

This is actually a big concern of mine as well, Jay K-C. My work sends a message almost every day to switch to the new version. I was hoping that the high contrast view could be updated on the new version before I truly have to make the switch. So if the Teams developers are watching, maybe you can help out people like Jay and myself?

    Hi EngineTyme,

This solution is no longer valid as Teams Classic has been end of lifed.

Can we please get an update when the prior functionality will be reinstated for New Teams.

As is evident from this stream, certain groups of people are being left behind here and will be unable to use Teams in its current state.

Our company is forcing all users to move to the New Teams as of the 31st, with no option to revert to Teams Classic.

I too am hoping that someone in charge will see these requests and change the color scheme back to how it was previously.

There is almost no difference between the read and unread messages any longer. That small dot does absolutely nothing.

I'm actually in the IT department for our company, and I'm certain I'm going to be hearing this from many of our users.

Don't do that to me. We are a major university/healthcare provider. I'm not looking forward to hundreds of call or emails about this.
