Get task number by month or by year in Microsoft Teams

Hi,

We use Tasks in Microsoft Teams to manage our tasks. I tried to get the task number by month or by year (looking at Due date). I couldn't find such a way so far.

It looks online Teams (webpage) could export Excel files for task list before, which could be used to get the counts. But I couldn't find the place to export now.

Is there still any way to do so? Thanks.

I tried to upload a screenshot here but failed. Then I uploaded to my Teams space and share to everyone. Hopefully you can see it.

I am using Microsoft Teams for Business, I think.

    Dear Likai Mao(Likai Mao),

Good Day! We thank you so much for letting us know that you and your colleague have identified the solution of this issue. I was thinking about this as in Open a task list in Project or Excel - Microsoft Support. You may need to go directly to: https://tasks.office.com/ with the same account you use in Teams, then in left pane, click on Planner list, you should have the same Plan as in Teams, then open the Plan, and there you will have the 3-dot (...) button, click in there, and select "Export Plan to Excel".

Let's summarize it to help any other user who might encounter this issue:

To export the tasks to an Excel file in MS Teams.

    1. Go to https://tasks.office.com/ rather than https://teams.microsoft.com and find your task list.
    2. Click a horizontal 3-dot button on the top of the page and then "Export to Excel".

This was very informative, and we are grateful to you for being so generous as to share this solution with our community so that anybody who finds themselves in a similar situation may use it to resolve their issue. We also invite you to vote the reply so that others may find it easier.

Your cooperation and kindness are much appreciated. Stay Safe!
