I cannot change my Teams status

Hello,

I am unable to change / reset my Teams status on both PC and mobile application.

I have tried clearing the Teams cache, restarting the application, and restarting my PC; all of which were to no avail.

Nothing happens regarding the message that says out of office:

Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Teams for business | Settings | Online status

    I had a similar experience, but instead of it being a holiday, it was an OOF message from a co-worker who didn't set the calendar item she sent out to show as "free". So they were OOF, but Outlook thought I was too since I accepted.

    Thanks for sharing this tip, saved me lots more frustration.

    I can tell you the new teams is pathetic, the most third class app I have ever seen..Old one was very nice and easy to use.

    I had the same problem. Then I realized I set my status on my Teams calendar to "Out of Office" as it was a public holiday. After changing my status on the calendar item it corrected my status on Teams to "Available".

    I had an invite from my boss. It must have set the status to Out of Office and everyone who accepted it got caught in it.

    I went back to the invite and declined and voila it was fixed.

    Solution that worked for us, a team of 6 people. We set out Outlook OOO message to the day before. click save. toggled the OOO message to off. clicked save. The Status is teams returned to normal.
