New Teams taking over system volume during calls

Hello,
I'm using the New Teams - 24033.813.2773.520 on a Windows 11 - Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3085) and with Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones via Bluetooth.
When I join a call, it doesn't matter if I change the overall system volume or not, Teams takes control over it. The first time I noticed it, was when I tried to lower the volume because the meeting was too loud, but theWindows' main volume slider did nothing.
Even if I set the overall volume to 0, I can hear the conversation, and I can only change the volume if I open the Windows volume mixer, and move the slider corresponding to Teams. I haven't experienced such a thing with another program before.

    Hello,

The behavior you're experiencing with Teams and system volume is unusual. Teams typically does not override the main system volume to this extent. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Teams Settings: Within Teams, go to Settings > Devices and check your speaker settings. Ensure the correct output device is selected and try adjusting the volume here.

Update Devices: Make sure your Sony headphones have the latest firmware and that you're running the latest version of the Teams app. Additionally, ensure that your Windows 11 is up to date with all the latest updates installed.

Bluetooth Settings: Bluetooth devices can sometimes handle volume control differently. Check the Bluetooth settings on your PC to see if there is an individual control for the headphones.

Audio Drivers: Outdated or corrupt audio drivers can cause issues with volume control. Check the manufacturer’s website for your computer’s audio hardware for driver updates.

Feedback Hub: If none of these steps solve the issue, consider reporting it through the Feedback Hub on Windows 11, as this could be an issue that needs to be resolved by Microsoft through a software update.

Remember, if this issue began after an update or change to your system, it could be related to that change, and rolling back the update or change may resolve the issue.

    Best regards, Saurabh

Thank you! I forgot to check Windows updates. The issue is fixed on a newer version (OS Build 22631.3374).
