In the last week, when I use TEAMS on my Mac, Balloons randomly appear on my screen. While funny at first, it is getting embarrassing. How do I get this to stop?!?

It's a FaceTime setting, not Teams.

FaceTime setting > Reactions (if Teams uses the built in FaceTime camera it activates with certain hand gestures). Turn that off

I have this same issue... but I'm using TEAMS on iPhone. Once in the meeting, I do see the setting for "Show chat bubbles". However if I click that "off" the fireworks, etc still happen.
And on a mtg today, the thumbs down bubbles happened WITHOUT the person using their hands. Like it's glitching based on other things happening on the screen.

I produce live television interviews with guests that call in via Teams. The celebrity singer had "thumbs down" bubbles show up for no reason. It's ridiculous.

I welcome an answer of how to turn off inside of Teams.

    Hi Rob,

    Thanks for replying!

I've had a thorough look and I'm unable to find the 'reactions' tool/function on my FaceTime.

I can't find it to turn it off.
