Garbled text on slides when sharing on Teams via PowerPoint Live

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me out real quick because this will cause a huge issue with the client I'm working with and a project that is set to run in the next 12-24 months...

I'm a Mac user, and I've been using slides with my customer's customised house font style for an online programme in the last 24 18 months. Every time I shared the slides via Teams PowerPoint Live, the font looked good and other participants in the online programme could see and read them without any issues.

However, after the latest update with MS apps in late Nov, the house style fonts on the slides will appear as garbled characters whenever I share the slides via Teams PowerPoint Live. When I share it 'normally' by just sharing the opened slides windows, the text would look fine to others.

I really need to use PowerPoint Live to share my slides though as it has the Presenter View and everyone's videos in the same window so I can look at my speaker notes and see my participants' facial expression and such.

Please can somebody out there share a workable solution to fix this Teams PowerPoint Live issue with me?

Thank you!

Warm regards,

Heice

Hi, Heice Y thank you for coming to the forum, my name is Adekunle.its worth noting that this is a user community and we are all users here. while we strive to assist and share insights we are not microsoft.

Please go through few steps to resolves the issue with the garbled characters:

Open Powerpoint> File > Options > Advanced > Under the Display section, check the box for 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration' > Click Ok and restart Powerpoint. 3. Sometimes, add-ins can cause problems. To determine, if add-in is a problem start your application in safe mode and see if problem has gone away.

If the issue persists please refer to this article:
