"Sorry, we can't sync this folder. You're already syncing a shortcut to a folder from this shared library."

I recently changed the name of one of my synced folders. I unlinked it after the fact and now cannot resync that folder. I have read the forums, but none of the help has been able to fix my problem. The error says "Sorry, we can't sync this folder. You're already syncing a shortcut to a folder from this shared library."

    Hello Heather,

    * I am a Microsoft user like you, providing solutions to community members; I am NOT a Microsoft employee.

Here's a solution by Dihao Guo MSFT (https://answers.microsoft.com/thread/33aca048-e29f-44fc-8817-d714b1e48b6e) that might be helpful: "So far, there isn’t have a very efficient way to find all SharePoint shortcut folders in your OneDrive, such as a pane to list out all shortcut folders from SharePoint. However, here is a few methods I suggest you can try to find SharePoint shortcut folders and remove the shortcut from your OneDrive.

First, you need to open OneDrive for the web by signing in with your work or school account.

1: In OneDrive for the web, you can identify the shortcut folders with a “Chain” icon below, and the Sharing status under “Sharing” column will display “Owner: <your sharepoint="" site="" name="">” under “Sharing” column.

2: Additionally, you can also try to use search function of browser by pressing Ctrl + F, then enter your site name in the search box.

Note: Please make sure all the folders are loaded in OneDrive for the web before you search."

    Hope this helps.
