The easiest way that I found to do this was as follows:

    1. Use 'Copy Link' from the desired folder in SharePoint or Teams Files (using the horizontal ellipse ...)
    2. In the Teams Tab, select Add+ and choose the 'website' component.
    3. Label your website component as your required tab heading and paste the folder link into the URL field.

Hey presto you will now have the required folder, with it's files displayed in the Teams Tab

    Hi Josephine,

Thank you for your quick response!

Do you know how to add a folder to the tab bar at the top of the page?

    1. Pick a Team
    2. Click "General" under channels
    3. When you get to this page, you will see a tab bar at the top. (I would like to add a folder to the tab bar).

Thank you again for your help!

    Mike

That only creates a folder for files in OneDrive. Mike is looking to add a folder as a tab to the top bar similar to how bookmarks work in a browser.

E.g. you cannot link to a website with the folders you are referring to and there is no reason for a website link to take up the space of a whole tab in the Teams ribbon.

    Hello,

I'm Josephine, happy to help you today. I am an independent advisor and a customer like you

I'm very sorry about the inconvenience.

Go to the “Files” tab of the team. Go to a team and channel of your choice and navigate to the Files tab.
Click on “New” and “Folder” Click on the button “New” and select the option “Folder”.
You have created a new folder. That's it, you have created a new folder.

I would be expecting a reply to this thread

    Sincerely,
    Josephine.
